I made the mistake when I first started my water damage restoration company of confusing a daily limit PPC campaign for a monthly limit. I was in such a rush to setup what I thought was a monthly limit on myspace that I didn’t pay attention to what I was doing. After setting up my campaign and setting the limit at $50 I went about my merry way thinking that people with water and mold damage were about to start calling for a maximium cost of $50 per month. One week later (and not a single call) I checked my email and found that myspace had meen debiting $50 each day from my busines account… long story short Myspace was gracious enough to refund my money and I learnt a very valuable lesson.

I found a nice cheap alternative for Adwords: Exactseek paid listings. Price is $4 per keyword phrase. I don’t know if it works but will keep you informed!

This is a great primer for getting started with adwords. There is nothing simple about them. You are competing with the “World” for a world wide audience. Any advantage you can find is a great help.
