You are right Lisa, forum posting and blog commenting are two great way to build back links as well as drive massive traffic to website.

Until and unless you are spamming, you will easily be accepted in forums but all forums have their different set of rules. It will be better to read forum rules immediately after joining and before making your first post.

Forums signatures are the best place to add a link to your website but remember few forums have specific rules and limitations on signatures.

Its good to read that you also have mentioned about “No follow tag” problem in Blog commenting as its making difficult to acquire a back link through blog commenting. Your Do Follow Drive works fine but still i have found some Blogs with High PR but No Follow Tag was also there. you still need to improve it more.

Thanks for the information. I actually got kicked out of a forum for posting a signature link. I wasn’t spamming and my comments were informative. In this case even though the forum allowed signature link they didn’t like the fact that a newbie had one so just a heads up. In terms of blog commenting, I find that if you leave spammy comments like “great article” or “I’m so glad I found this blog” you comments won’t be approved or deleted so be sure to leave something meaningful.

I have a product for a very tight niche (professional translators that translate drawings made with AutoCAD). And couln’t get any traffic EVEN from google adWords!!, (ok maybe 2 or 3 visits a day). But when I started to post into specialized forums, Guess what? got free traffic: it went up to 20-30 / day, wich is not bad for this super-specific niche.
