FREE RC Car Market Research Profile

August 5th, 2008 | 10 Comments

The RC Car niche is full of buyers. You will find that some prospects are information seekers just looking for the coolest new car or gadget, but even these folks will likely buy at some point. It’s a great market for repeat sales as many hobby enthusiasts just keep buying more to add to their collection.

There are a ton of ways to segment the RC car niche. Currently, the remote control niche includes cars and many other vehicle types like helicopters, planes, boats … you name it. It would be much easier to build a site and achieve high rankings in the search engines for one of these segmented lists.

For example, the keyphrase ‘RC helicopters’ gets an estimated 1319 searches across all search engines per day. There are pages on the first page of Google with only a PR4 for this search term.

This market is perfect for Internet Marketers already in the hobby niche. Hobbies like computer gaming go hand-in-hand with RC cars. Often these markets are packed full of high spenders.

So take a look at the RC Car Market Research Profile and see if this market is a good fit for your business.

I’m going to keep all the posts and comments intact and transfer them over to this blog. Eventually linkbuildingbible.com will redirect over here.

I hate having to click through to see an entire article, just my opinion. Good Luck with the transfer of ownership.
I will subscribe through my reader, but if entire posts are not in the reader, chances are I will not click through to read them, just my preference, others I know feel differently. But, I write 2 blogs myself and operate a contracting business, and my reader is full of useful content every day, I try to limit myself with it and in turn usually don’t have time to click through to the post to read the entire thing, sometimes I am in my Google Reader through my phone, so it is even less likely I would click through then.
    Thanks,
    Keith

We’ve read your RC Market research and found the information to be very usefull. We sell most of our RC in store but discounted Traxxas parts on our web site adds to that bottom line. Thanks. – Bill

Keith … Thanks for the insights. I may change the blog to show the full post in the future. Bill … thanks, I’m glad to know you found it useful!

  5. Thanks for the info. It seems to be an interesting niche but with competition. I think the fact that adsense payouts are at 0.10 – 0.25 is a big deterrent. Of course, you mentioned that this was just a guesstimate but I can think a couple of niches with higher payouts. I think this niche is good for affiliate marketing though and will take a look at it.

I remember 2004 when i started learning SEO by exchanging links and there was a site about RC toys. I got a good exchange as my site was nothing and that one was huge already :)

  7. I can vouch for the RC car Niche. For some reason the hobby is growing as more and more ‘grown ups’ are seeing how enjoyable it can be. I think it’s something to do with their racer mentality and that if they can’t buy a fast car then they buy a fast RC Car and have races against their friends.

  8. Nice post!.. I think a couple of niches with higher payouts… I think this niche is good for affiliate marketing though and will take a look at it… This is perfect for Internet Marketers already in the hobby niche..

I have wondered if I should start a webshop with RC Boats in it. I think it could have great potential. Have any of you guys tried it?
But for now I think I will develop my RC Cars shop a bit more first..
