Free Market Research Profile: Acne Treatment

Submitted by Lisa on Tuesday, 8 July 20082 Comments

Is acne treatment a niche with potential or not? Let’s break it down here.

The word “Acne” is searched for an estimated 3,550 times per day across all the search engines.

But you’re probably thinking, ‘how hard would it be to rank for that term’? Probably pretty tough, but did you know that the first page of Google for this broad search term has sites on it with only a PageRank (PR) of 5? Although that’s competitive, it’s still possible for you to achieve.

You can achieve this with good content related to ‘acne’ along with links from sites related to ‘acne’ as well.

But as you probably know, “acne” is not a very targeted term. So what about some other terms?

“Adult acne” is searched for an estimated 356 times per day across all search engines. There are sites on the first page of Google for this term with a PageRank of 0. So in theory, if you built a site around adult acne and knew even just a little about search engine optimization, you could likely rank pretty high without much effort at all.

Do you think adults who went to a site focusing on “adult acne” would be interested in what you had to say? I’m betting they would. You could easily cater to adults and promote affiliate products they may be interested in. In case you didn’t know, there are incredibly high paying affiliate programs in the acne niche.

Our Market Research Profile also includes information on several other acne market segmentation ideas. Learn Google Adwords cost per clicks (to give you an idea of what you would spend if you choose to promote your site through pay-per-clicks). You can also gain insights on the list building and product potential of the acne treatment niche.
